Alfonsas Vilpišauskas is one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary Lithuanian expressionist painting, a painter nugget, for whom the artist's classic tools - canvas, paint, and brush - were always enough to express his ethics and philosophy. He was a vital, sensitive colorist, a master of painting gestures, color constructions and rhythm orchestration. In Lithuanian painting, Alfonsas Vilpišauskas performed the classic mission of a modernist artist: always through himself, through an authentic and unique relationship with the world, driven by an inner necessity, he found a truly unique way of embodying thought. Therefore, he has definitely been considered a Lithuanian painting Maestro for a long time. His work today is recognized as the classics of Lithuanian painting. The artist's paintings are a reflection of Ars experience and folk art traditions, and the rich colorful combinations reflect the joy of recreating reality and admiring the beauty of the work.
