The book Vytautas Šerys, Hunting for Light and Shadows, Wooden Sculptures reproduces about 150 wooden sculptures by the artist (compiled by Dr. Ieva Pleikienė, artist Bronius Leonavičius, photographer Kęstutis Stoškus). The book shows how the artist's thoughts unfold, ideas are formed and transformed, and image connections are spreading. V. Šerys' constructive thinking is largely based on two layers: rural architectural structures and Christian symbols, it is also influenced by nature motives. The book contains memoirs of V. Šerys' colleagues and friends - Alfonsas Andriuskevičius, Viktoras Liutkus and Algimantas Jonas Kuras, archival photos of the family and a comprehensive catalog of works and informative appendices (biography, lists of personal and group exhibitions, selected bibliography).
