Rūta Pileckaitė's monograph 20th-century Lithuanian jewelry: from accessory to ornament is a history of modern jewelry that is closely related not only to artistic but also material factors. Dr. R. Pileckaitė in 2003 defended her doctoral dissertation Contemporary Lithuanian Jewelry in the International Context of Applied Art and on the basis of it prepared a book that is very useful for both art students and anyone interested in Lithuanian jewelry.
