Rokas Beržiūnas

Rokas Beržiūnas dalininkas

Rokas Beržiūnas is a graduate of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art (sculpture major) and Vilnius Art Academy (interior design major), who has turned to painting since 2005. He actively paints and participates in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. He has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association since 2014.

“His creative path balances between real images and abstractions. However, the paintings awaken the imagination and are romantically impressive, as they are associatively reminiscent of inaccessible and landscapes invisible to the naked eye: space nebulae, star explosions, stardust floating in space, surfaces of unknown planets, ridges, shadows of life in space,” is how art critic Nijolė Nevčesauskienė describes the artist’s work. Art critic Vidas Poškus sees the connections of the artist’s work with Čiurlionis, “he is first connected with Čiurlionis by a related plastic alphabet (flickering secessionally musical ornaments or the lingering of a symbolic mist of mystery)."

Rokas Beržiūnas energetically directs his creative path towards realizing his ideas.
