Vidas Simanavičius – was born in 1983, in Alytus. Master of monumental sculpture studies at Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, „manifests himself as an author of (and collective) actions, performances, sculptural objects and interactive works, using different media, sometimes even socio-ideological environment, as well as a curator and a person who writes polemical texts” (art critic Dr. Kęstutis Šapoka ).
Creates, participates in exhibitions, festivals, symposiums, competitions in Lithuania and abroad since 1995. Author's artworks can be found in public spaces in Vilnius and other cities, in rooms of private art collectors and in sculptor's workshop.
